  • ABOUT THIS COURSE

Welcome to the Introduction to The LEAD Mindset Experience.

Leadership in a service culture starts with a mindset, not a title.

The REAPS Toolkit teaches the principles and practices of creating that powerful culture of service. At the heart of the Toolkit is readiness capability to take action.

There are 5 dimensions to enable readiness to take action… to activate The LEAD Mindset and develop a LEADer Champion( a leader with The LEAD Mindset):

    1. Willingness

    2. Ability

    3. Knowledge

    4. Skill

    5. Legacy.

A LEAD Hub is made up of community of LEADer Champions - a talent pool of people who courageous, boundary pushing and think differently about leadership, with a passion to share their success with others, uplifting a culture of service:

This introductory module focusses on ‘Willingness’

    Purpose

The module gives an overview of The LEAD Curriculum course and its associated REAPS Toolkit, what you can expect from it, how your leadership can be transformed through it, and how you can get the most out of it. The LEAD Mindset establishes the importance of mindset in your own performance and the performance of others.

The module then deep dives into the behaviours & actions associated with the willingness to take action to take control of your own leadership success.

    Module objectives

o Understanding that mindset matters to change your game.

o Defining your success goals/drivers with people at the centre.

o Developing courage to step out of your comfort zone & an appetite for risk to think outside the box to problem solve.

o Being able to speak persuasively about your solutions to enable success for others.

o Exploring ways to codify your success to share in a way that will inspire beyond your time and attention.

    Program delivery mode

The delivery mode is blended learning - a mixture of online, self-serve and classroom teaching. Participants work in LEAD Hubs of 6 to complete 6 challenges. For each challenge the information is presented in the following forms: power points, short videos, audios, text followed by the individual or group tasks. Additional experiences include group work, thought provoking discussions, reflection, research and presentations.

    Learner journeys

    1. I am not aware of the role of mindset in leadership performance ............I embrace a leadership mindset that raises the bar on my performance and enables the performance of others.

    2. I have no competence in developing and codifying my agency to share .........I embrace my agency and can apply the REAPS framework to codifying my success to share with others to enable their agency

    Learning outcome

o Understand how to adopt a mindset that would support readiness to succeed

o Participants will know how to codify successful behaviours in a way to push themselves further in their leadership career and to share that success with others.

o They will produce a 5 minutes persuasive video featuring their voice in bucking and identified societal trend as a legacy.

Be open minded and enjoy the experience!

By now, I hope you are convinced this is journey worth taking. Alumni testified about the value they got from the experience and you learnt how the course can help you personally and professionally.

     Three questions come to mind:

    1. What would my journey through the course look like?
    2. What can I do to ensure I succeed on this course?
    3. What am I expecting from this course?

The next set of videos, articles and audio will seek to answer those two questions.
