Hello and welcome to The LEAD Mindset introduction to 'Becoming an unforgettable Speaker'.  Dennise Hiliman is an unforgettable speaker who captivates her audiences and gets booked regularly. In this basic course, she shares some of her secrets and wisdom around what makes her speeches unforgettable. 

This course is a 6 hours course spread over three weeks. Each session is divided into 2 hours- one hour online and 1 hour face-2face master class. 

Week 1 

We  dive into the first fundamental of becoming an unforgettable speaker and that is ‘having a voice

We will begin the work around defining and embracing your voice.

Week 2

We will consider the second fundamental of public speaking which is 'your message'.

Week 3

We will explore various ways of structuring your talk.

All master classes will be delivered via Zoom.

This taster introduces you to the first tool - start with the why. 

You will learn one technique and a process to find your why.

Everyone starting out on their leadership journey needs to complete this full course. It puts you in the driving seat of your leadership and personal success.

The goal of the LEAD Mindset is to get people into the right frame of mind to get into the act of leadership in the service space. In short, to be an influencer! We believe this way of thinking about leadership bridges the gap between professional development and the fundamental human ambition to find a higher meaning and purpose for work and life.


Our Toolkit REAPS introduces the six basic principles that form the blueprint The LEAD Mindset is based on. Upon completing the course, the learners will be confident in the leadership steps to be taken to be able to take responsibility for their tasks, deliver excellence, and empower others within their communities.


The course content is a mixture of knowledge, application tasks, and opportunities to reflect.

Welcome to the Introduction to The LEAD Mindset experience.

Leadership in a service culture starts with a mindset, not a title.

The REAPS Toolkit teaches the principles and practices of creating that powerful culture of service.

There are 5 dimensions to enable readiness to take action… to activate and develop a LEAD Mindset Hub[a talent pool of people who courageous, boundary pushing and think differently about leadership, with a passion to share their success with others] uplifting a culture of service:

This introductory module focusses on ‘Willingness’

Purpose

The module gives an overview of The LEAD Curriculum course and its associated REAPS Toolkit, what you can expect from it, how your leadership can be transformed through it, and how you can get the most out of it. The LEAD Mindset establishes the importance of mindset in your own performance and the performance of others.

The module then deep dives into the behaviours & actions associated with the willingness to take action to take control of your own leadership success.

Module objectives

o Understanding that mindset matters to change your game.

o Defining your success goals/drivers with people at the centre.

o Developing courage to step out of your comfort zone & an appetite for risk to think outside the box to problem solve.

o Being able to speak persuasively about your solutions to enable success for others.

o Exploring ways to codify your success to share in a way that will inspire beyond your time and attention.

Program delivery mode

The delivery mode is blended learning - a mixture of online, self-serve and classroom teaching. Participants work in LEAD Hubs of 6 to complete 6 challenges. For each challenge the information is presented in the following forms: power points, short videos, audios, text followed by the individual or group tasks. Additional experiences include group work, thought provoking discussions, reflection, research and presentations.

o They will produce a 5 minutes persuasive video featuring their voice in bucking and identified societal trend as a legacy.
