VALUE OF ISPs - IN SCHOOL PARTNERS
Our In-School Partners(ISP) are crucial to the success of The LEAD Mindset Experience in schools. Our ISPs create the right environment for the smooth implementation of this student leadership programme which, if implemented successfully, will result in:
- learners being engaged and feeling good
- business mentors feeling supported
- LEAD feeling supported
- you, the ISP, growing your operational leadership skills.
In this beginner course for Educators in schools selected to lead on implementing The LEAD Mindset Experience; through a series of videos, audios, testimonials and templates, you will be guided and supported to prepare students to be ready for their leadership journey, work with business mentors whilst developing your operational leadership skills at the same time.
Take some time to scan the Moodle User Guide to help you navigate the learning system.
Then before we define where we are going, we must reflect on why we are going there.

WHAT IS YOUR LEADERSHIP FOOTPRINT?
The LEAD Mindset way of thinking of leadership is 'everyone has the innate potential to get into the act of leadership. Leadership is not about status, position and power; it is about influence and impact.
Taking on the role of a LEAD In School Facilitator or leading on any event means you are taking on the responsibility for the leadership of others.
Your leadership footprint is the impact or influence you have on the people you are leading.
- Read the information on LEAD Leadership qualities below
- Complete the survey as a baseline based on your own self-assessment of what leadership footprints will you leave?
- At the end organising an event/or co-ordinating the implementation of a LEAD module, you will revisit the questions and compare it with the feedback from students and mentors on how the programme impacted them.
The Six LEADership Qualities of LEADers in the service space
- Self-Literacy - The ability to reflect and reframe challenging events in our lives as valuable opportunities to develop positive self-worth in others.
- Self-belief or purpose - The ability to reflect on your strengths( gifts and talents) as having significant potential to add value to others(you believe you have something to offer)
- Social literacy - The ability to use social skills to form and maintain authentic relationships
- Active commitment - The ability to illustrate excellence as an example for others by inspiring others to improve themselves by constantly re-inventing and refining your offer.
- Reciprocity - The ability to give and receive and act on constructive feedback for ultimate self improvement.
- Legacy - The ability to support others on their journey to self literacy and to help others activate "their own offer" to improve the quality of life for all.
Your 'impact statement' from the list of skills and qualities of a LEADer in the service space.
Which ones would you want to develop or demonstrate through this ISP role? For example '
At the end of this LEAD event/programme I want people to say they found this event enjoyable because the leader(ISP) was very willing to receive and act on feedback'
Now proceed to complete your baseline survey by clicking on the survey.
